MKK Consulting News: VAT Deregistration in Italy

Taxpayers who no longer meet the VAT registration criteria in Italy and have yet to deregister will be contacted by the Italian Tax Authorities to enforce deregistration.  The authorities also annouced that penalties may be levied to those companies who have failed to deregister.

This will affect companies who have not carried out business activities in Italy over the past three years, or who have not submitted VAT returns over the past three years.
